Daniela Spering is a native of Hanover. After passing the state examination in music education at the University of Music in Lübeck, she continued her studies with a postgraduate course in arts management at the University of Music and Theater in Hamburg. During her studies, she was a member of the organisational team for the international vocal competition 'Competizione dell' Opera'.
She worked with the Agentur für Musik und Theater Hannagret Bueker for two years before joining the staff of Konzertdirektion Hans Ulrich Schmid in 1998, where she concurrently coordinated the Young Artists Concerts (support programme of the German Music Council).
In 2003 she was appointed head of the vocal department. She has lived in Cologne with her family since 2005 and founded her own agency in March 2008.
