David Fischer is part of the Deutsche Oper am Rhein ensemble since the current season. At this house, in the following year he will be performing Tybalt in Roméo et Juliette, the Third Jew in Salome, Harlekin in Der Kaiser von Atlantis and the Steuermann in Der fliegende Holländer.


Before his time in Düsseldorf he sang in the ensemble of the Bonn Opera, i.a. the roles of Jaquino (Fidelio), Rev. Horace Adams (Peter Grimes), Remendado (Carmen), Pang (Turandot) and many more. He is also a regular guest at the Leipzig Opera house.


Previous engagements in the concert scene led David Fischer to the Berlin Philharmonie under Sylvain Cambreling (Pulcinella), to the NDR Hannover with Andrew Manze (Johannes-Passion), on an Asian tour with the Freiburger Barockorchester under René Jacobs (Don Giovanni) and with Frieder Bernius on a German tour (Die erste Walpurgisnacht) – the CD recording will be released soon.


At the concerts to come, David Fischer will be heard frequently with Haydn. He will perform Die Schöpfung at the Victoria Hall Geneva in January and on an Europe tour under the baton of Philippe Herreweghe in August. In May, Die Jahreszeiten will lead him to the Tonhalle Düsseldorf under Adam Fischer.

A selection of further concerts are Händel's Messiah at the Philharmonie Köln (December), Bach's Matthäus-Passion at the Ludwigskirche Nürnberg and the Alte Oper Frankfurt (April), Stravinsky's Pulcinella at the Concert Hall Warsaw (May) and Mozart's Zauberflöte at the Festival de Beaune in France (July).

David Fischer maintains a close liaison with his finnish Lied partner Pauliina Tukiainen, with whom he gave Lied recitals at the Swiss Festival classique des Haudères, in Geneva and at the Schumannfest Bonn.

David Fischer was able to crown the year of 2016 by winning the renowned Geneva Competition.


David Fischer gave his début in 2015 at Baden-Baden Theatre as Tremolini (Offenbach, La Princesse de Trébizonde) as part of the 48th Berlin Philharmonic Easter Festival.


David Fischer completed his singing studies in Freiburg with Reginaldo Pinheiro and also took master classes with Brigitte Fassbaender.

At the age of three he took his first violin lessons; when he was 12 years old, he won the German federal competition Jugend musiziert in the solo violin category.
